I'm Lorelei. I’m a licensed therapist, an EMDR specialist, and have extensive training in personal development and relationship counseling. I love working with adults and couples and can help with anxiety, depression, trauma, burn-out, overwhelm, boundaries, self-doubt, perfectionism, and midlife review. I also do pre-marital, divorce, marriage or couples counseling, and family conflict. I know by the time you come to therapy you've been struggling for awhile on your own. I’m an expert listener and will do my best so you feel seen and heard, grounded, in control, and motivated. You deserve to live the life you were meant to.
In my work with couples, I take into account our current culture, the differences between men's and women's needs and communication styles, and the numerous mine fields of misunderstanding out there. Unhealthy or negative relationship patterns can be shifted and changed. Sometimes relationships just need repair and strengthening.
For all therapy, I believe that honest communication and trust between us is essential, and I strive to build that with you. Also important is offering an environment where you can be authentically you to get to the heart of the matter. Sometimes it takes a little digging. The important part to me is that you are making progress, getting relief and clarity, and enjoying your life more.
To begin, I listen and ask questions to understand. I use a variety of therapies and determine what would help you most, primarily using CBT, EMDR, and Solution Focus. With couples, I help you see how your past and your behavior patterns have affected your relationship and what needs to happen or change to get back to each other. Your relationship is often an arena for growth.

Yes, I’m in-network with Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna, and Cigna.
What if I can’t afford therapy right now?
Let’s talk. I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots.

Working Together
Is everything I say in therapy confidential?
Yes—confidentiality is essential. There are just a few exceptions required by law, and I’ll explain those upfront.
What if I don’t feel comfortable with therapy at first?
That’s totally normal. Feeling safe talking to a stranger takes time. What I have found though is usually a new client is feeling much less uncomfortable by the end of the first session.
What if I’m not sure what I want to work on?
No problem! Many clients start with that. They know they’re feeling off but don’t know why. I am trained to ask the questions that will bring you clarity.
Can I bring a partner or family member to a session?
Yes, if it supports you and your goals. We can talk about what you need and what would be helpful.
About Therapy
What can I expect in a therapy session?
The therapy room is a confidential and safe space for you to talk, explore your thoughts and feelings, and work toward your goals. You set the pace, and we go from there.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
It depends on the person and varies. Some people come for a specific problem pertaining to a situation and just need some help getting through it. Some come for a few months, others longer. People move at their own pace and we work together to find what feels right for you.
What kinds of issues do you help people with?
I support clients with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, and finding greater authenticity and balance in their lives. I also work with trauma, either current or past.
What is your approach to therapy?
My approach is compassionate and collaborative. I first listen, then draw from CBT, person-centered, mindfulness, EMDR, etc. to best support your needs. Scheduling and Logistics How do I schedule an appointment? You can call, text, email, or use the schedule button on my website. I’ll get back to you promptly to set something up.
Do you offer in-person, virtual, or phone sessions?
Yes! I offer in-person sessions in Scottsdale, secure video sessions, and phone appointments for the optional free 15-minute initial consultation I offer depending on your preference.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or changes, otherwise a $100 fee applies. Of course, unavoidable emergencies do not incur a charge. How long are your sessions? Sessions are typically 55 minutes long.
